Smoke y LED, the perfect combination of effects

In the world of entertainment, the ability to create unique and surprising atmospheres is essential to capture the audience's attention and make every moment memorable. One of the most powerful tools to achieve this is the combination of smoke machines with integrated LED lighting.

Why combine smoke and LED?

When both elements are combined in the right way, they create a visual synergy that transforms any space into a stage full of magic and energy.

The smoke acts as a three-dimensional canvas onto which light is projected, making the smoke glow with intensity and vibrant colours in motion, elevating the sensory experience to a whole new level.

Features of LED Smoke machines

  • Vibrant and dynamic colours
LEDs allow colours to change in real time, coordinating with the music or narrative of the event. They use RGB lighting, so combinations can achieve over 16 million colours.

  • Safety
The smoke is non-toxic and non-irritating so they are suitable for indoor use.

  • Compact size
LED Smoke machines have a small size, allowing them to be placed in different spaces without too much hassle.

What to consider when choosing a LED Smoke machine

There are different models on the market with different features and prices. These are the main concepts that you have to take into account to choose the most suitable one for you.

  • Power
The power will influence the amount and length of the smoke burst. The most powerful ones, from 1500 to 3000w, will allow smoke bursts of 5 to 8 metres.

  • LED power and colours
As in the previous case, it will influence the intensity and range of the light. The more powerful the smoke projection, the more lighting power the machine will need, either in number of LEDs or watts to be able to illuminate correctly. It is also necessary to take into account the diversity of colours that the RGB allows, as well as the light modes: fixed, flashing, stroboscopic...

  • Type of control
The machines can have manual and automatic control. The professional ones will have DMX control, a system that allows automatic control and synchronisation with other devices to perform synchronised actions with the lighting or other effects machines. Even if they have this system, they can also be manually controlled remotely using a remote control.

The amount of control you need will depend on the circumstances of the event and the number of fixtures to be used.

  • Orientation
Not all machines allow the smoke to be oriented in any direction, so you will find different models depending on how you want to set up your show. Generally, vertical projection machines are used, but there are also machines with a swivelling head to direct the smoke in different degrees of inclination.
